Mr. Birpal Singh Chauhan

Our Honorable Managing Director is a graduate with a B.Sc (Hons) degree from Calcutta University.  After completing college, he joined the business and has over forty years of experience in the business of civil and architectural construction, fly ash handling contracts, area development, earthworks, real estate development and National Highway Construction works.

In the year 2011 & 2012, due to his vast experience in fly ash  utilization projects, Inland Waterways transportation and export to Bangladesh, he had the privilege of being selected as an Indian delegate in the Secretary level talks between India and Bangladesh on the Protocol Transit and Trade agreement.  Through his experience, the Indian delegation has benefited in the various meetings to promote connectivity with North Eastern States through the inland waterways of Bangladesh.

Under his leadership, the company has also been able to associate with reputed Power Companies such as Calcutta Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC), DPL and West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL) for fly ash handling towards its pollution free end utilization.  He played a pivotal role in the introduction of mechanical excavation and disposal of settled ash from the Ash Ponds of Kolaghat Thermal Power Station and DPL since over four decades. Under his leadership, MCL completed successfully the civil works for construction of the Budge Budge Power Project as well as allied works for the Titagarh Power Project. MCL was also selected by Rolls Royce Industrial Power (India) Limited for the EPC Civil works of Balagarh Thermal Power Generating Station and were awarded the contract value at three hundred and twenty Crores.

He is a promoter of the company and holds significant shares of the company in his name as on March 31st, 2012.
